Autazo App

The Revolution in Buying and Selling Your Car

Case study

an ipad with Autazo website

This long-term project is about changing the way automotive companies interact with users and offers a new way to sell/buy your car with a P2P network. Designed with the easiest flow possible and a fun experience that lets users change the current status quo.

Personally, this has been one of the most challenging but richest professional experiences I have had so far, understanding many different points of view and roles as a designer and developer. In this project, I had to work as a Generalist UX designer, working in different design areas that allowed me to prove myself over time.

the wireframes flow

Just like any large project, a low-fidelity prototype is always a good start. Defining the main features and services of our product lets our team know where to focus, giving an excellent insight into how it would operate in the end. Many features will change over time, and many others will be discarded, but that's part of the process.

What i had to do

  • Establish brand identity and design the website.
  • Mobile design with high-fidelity prototypes (Android and iOS versions) from brand identity.
  • Front-End coding support (We used Angular, React-Native before changing to PWA)
  • Define App features using market research. User experience research. Making pitches and presentations for stakeholders.
  • QA Testing (Web & APK testing. Making UX reports for internal use).
  • User interface design and wireframes for development.
  • Making pitchs and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Optimize code regularly in App updates.
  • Design graphic elements like animations, banners, advertising that encapsulates brand identity.
  • Report bugs, testing results monthly.

¿What I learned through this project?

This project made me learn various different kinds of design approaches. I had to learn many things I didn't have expertise or developed skills like animations. One of my tasks involved making some videos and animations (for Splash and Loading screens), which were used for Web and Mobile versions, respectively. A fun part of it was making plans for the advertising videos that were planned for the official App/Web release. In this process, I learned to use some tools and software like Lottie and spent quite some time in After Effects.

¿Which was the best part of learning new stuff constantly? Learning more coding and programming and the possibilities you can have as a professional to grow in many non-design related areas.

To test our flows for specific needs, I developed case studies that were recorded in a video for showing specific features to stakeholders.
